UNCONDITIONAL LOVE: John Lennon and Yoko Ono. Comprehension of the Universe and the Creative Power of Unconditional Love

THE CREATIVE POWER OF UNCONDITIONAL LOVE

("For my other half of the sky"-John Lennon)

What is unconditional love? Precisely  to love  without conditions.
A simple definition, but worthy of a complex analysis.
I adhere to these other words, to further extend the concept:
"There is only one form of love: unconditional love.
Loving unconditionally is to love all there as is, without judging or criticizing, to love people as they are, without wanting to change them.
Love as you love yourself unconditionally.
All other forms are imperfect expressions of love but very human.
True love is offered freely and is not intended to be matched, is a love that lifts our energy and that of those around us and makes us happy in the here and now, whatever happens. "(Translation text for myself that whose original belongs to www.convinzioni.it)If I want to talk about people,to whom, without knowing them personally, who has influenced my thinking and my convictions, one of them is John Lennon.

Logically there is no denying that his band of origin was the impetus to become known in the entire world, his real conceptual work, he get it , when he leave from his group, with who he did not share his ideas of innovation.
This is the logical sequence in a group when one of its components, has undergone internal changes, an evolution different from the rest.
The feeling changes, the underlying motivation and also the comprehension the times,it runs through different lanes.
While it is commendable his pre-solist work, it is easy to see that the change in the creative process of John, which will go down forever in the collective memory happened after meeting Yoko Ono, an unusual woman for her time, an plastic artist with a vision profoundly complementary to him.
Recently, I had confessed, that after reading a post by a Youtube user, responding to the opinion quite aggressive with respect to the figure of Yoko Ono, by another user, who argued that she had been the cause of the separation of the Beatles and he had spoiled to John with her rares ideas, it was almost like an epiphany for me.
In defense of Yoko, this person said that to talk like, it was ignore, exactly this that it made him immortal definitely, find love, real, without limitation, the purity of the exact complement another human being
I remember these words "have you seen his videos with her, you have not carefully read the lyrics of their songs more intimate and deeper? John shone, glowed with happiness, her being was complete.
He met happiness after a life marked by neglect and the
death of beloved beings, she found everything it had in him, and he did see himself, and he died shortly after. "

If in this consumer society, everything is bought, sold, traded for money and the money symbolizes access to "power", all this that really has no real value because it is purchased for monetary units; monetary units more, monetary units less.
The real power reside in owning the wonderful wisdom to find the person who will type the exact numbers of the combination that opens the door to our mind to connect us with who we really are, and where we really belong, out of our social structures acquired, our prejudices and preconceptions, who does not scare our brilliance, or not take center stage, without implying in any way emotional dependence
As in "Mirrors of relationship",by Deepak Chopra front to others, we often accuse them instinctively to feel those feelings and to practice these attitudes that we really suppress us, in ourselves, but when the spiritual evolution has come, the understanding of the image of another it will be not ever based  in persue the unpleasant aspects, it will focus on highlighting, in showing to the other his or her full potential, to see it shine, let it be himself, let it be herself..

Then the creative process (in any order) will break free, because the support of the love,  guarantee us that we will be successful completing of that for which we were ready, and what we will do even better, excellent, the highest expression ourselves.

Short time ago, I was living my grief over the death very early of my brother whom I joined a very special relationship, with whom we had many conversations during the course of their illness, about life and death and meaning of truly valuable in the course of a existence, when these thoughts arose in me.
After the departure(death)of my brother, I asked myself, which are the real purpose of my life for me, and..what are the objectives and what I lacked (in that moment) moreover, to achieve; and then I remembered this story.
There, for the first time, intimately, I understood everything.
The rights and wrongs I had believed until that moment the center of my life had been nothing more than anecdotes of a kid , for the first time was in front of myself, without indulgence for me, nor criticism with blame.
Had walked a labyrinth of mirrors false and that moment was breaking all that which I myself had been refusing to see.
At the same time, I must say, noblesse oblige, there, had somebody who it crossed for my life that helped to improve my insight, which appeared just in time, and with who I will be forever grateful. ("I will try to express my inner feelings and my gratitude for showing me the meaning of success"from song Woman "is all I could tell him ).
For my other half of the sky(intro)

WOMAN
Woman, I can hardly express,
My mixed emotion at my thoughtlessness,
After all I'm forever in your debt,

And, woman, I will try express,
My inner feelings and thankfullness,
For showing me the meaning of success,

Oooh well, well,
Oooh well, well,
Woman I know you understand
The little child inside the man,
Please remember my life is in your hands,
And woman hold me close to your heart,
However, distant don't keep us apart,
After all it is written in the stars,
Oh well, well, Oooh well, well..
Woman please let me explain,
I never mean(t) to cause you sorrow or pain,
So let me tell you again and again and again,
I love you now and forever,
I love you now and forever,
I love you now and forever,
I love you

I realized then that John's work was much, much beyond, that it leaves a legacy of an excellent musician and composer, was the hallmark of a Free Spirit, who had broken his emotional chains , somebody that visioned beyond that, free of all charges or weight, to express itself,at its best.
The intensity of his convictions were at the height of his love for her soulmate.
Many will say that perhaps his partner with Yoko did not suffer the wear and erosion of the routine, consequences by years and years of cohabitation, it was canceled with his death the decline of that love.
But I reply that this situation could happen is in the statistics of marriages with conventional lives and conventional spirits.
They, of course not, they were not classic and obvious ...
They will been reinvented again and again ..
According to another definition says love transcends feeling and then regarded the manifestation of a state of mind or soul, identified in some religions with God and with the force that holds the universe together.
The love between John and Yoko transcended the limits of their privacy and went to the universe around them, they decided to share it, then, using the power of their fame and global spread they began to fight (how ironic) for the peace, in those times, demanding an end to the war and military occupation in Vietnam.

But there was more, had a wider release to get and the struggle of social classes was one of the pillars of that liberation and change.
Songs like Working class hero, born of a mutual thematic within Yoko and John, and at that time, this cut .. was branded a "Bolshevik," but today his verses are understood in all its dimensions, and are current, valid after decades, so that the group "Green Day "has made a successful version in 2007
Of course, he was a visionary in his own time, warning the world about next human involution, with the face to the future ..

A working class hero
(John Lennon)

As soon as you're born they make you feel small
By giving you no time instead of it all
Till the pain is so big you feel nothing at all
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be

They hurt you at home and they hit you at school
They hate you if you're clever and they despise a fool
Till you're so fucking crazy you can't follow their rules
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be

When they've tortured and scared you for twenty hard years
Then they expect you to pick a career
When you can't really function you're so full of fear
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be

Keep you doped with religion and sex and TV
And you think you're so clever and classless and free
But you're still fucking peasants as far as I can see
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be

There's room at the top they are telling you still
But first you must learn how to smile as you kill
If you want to be like the folks on the hill
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be

If you want to be a hero well just follow me
If you want to be a hero well just follow me

Power To The People
(John Lennon)

Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people, right on

Say we want a revolution
We better get on right away
Well you get on your feet
And on the street

Singing power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people, right on

Oh, when your man is working for nothing
You better give 'em what they really own
We got to put you down
When we come into town

Singing power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people, right on

I'm gonna ask you comrade and brother
How do you treat your own woman back home
She got to be herself
So she can give herself

Singing power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people, right on

Imagine,is not only a popular song that Rolling Stone gives the third-best in history, is itself a compendium all ideological and synthesis of universal knowledge concepts unusual for those years if attention is paid to each subject and spiritual and social aspects of the life of John Lennon and Yoko Ono.
I read once, an opinion piece about this creation, calling it "utopian ode to goodness, musically beautiful, but with an angelical ineffectivity."
Needless to say I disagree completely with that particular vision, but I value it, in honor to the respect for freedom of expression.
I'd rather support the view from a Spanish translation of an article published on the website of World Socialism (I tried to find the original in English, but could not locate at the network): "The Socialists consider the song Imagine by John Lennon as an anthem of universal hope. A few other songs, and perhaps none so famous, have described the socialist vision as accurately and emotion (..)
Imagine
is a humanist song, par excellence, that denies humans the place that is often ascribed to themselves in the spiritual universe and that, instead relegating them to their material and exquisitely beautiful earthly home.
Lennon does this to encourage their fellows to join in creating of a world worthy, without countries, war, religion nor private property. "
Awakening to the universal consciousness is to perceive the world and to your peers in a unique way, the own of yourself, in what is just, right and good, while ignoring the barrage of information that, it provide to you, some parallel universes and artificial paradises.
John Lennon probably already had in his luggage of life, this great understanding, but something was missing to start the chapter to put into action all that.

I always thought and believed, that the artists (art seriously professional) musicians, painters, writers and sculptors, have a sensitivity and realistic world view, stripped, stark, but they which presented with beauty and authenticity.
The merger between an artist, daughter of a concert pianist and a Japanese high society lady, with refined and exquisite education, with two previous marriages, and some bouts of depression as  Yoko Ono and a  privileged musician, deep man, with a large charisma and popularity, but from very different social class, as John Lennon, it seems exotic and there, it could stay for the superficial mold,  of a story syrupy.
There was a lot more depth in their personalities and their psyches, to be more than a fleeting passion of tabloids.
What did they have in common? Without doubt, loneliness, misunderstanding contemporary about theirs ideas, the fruitless search of complementary side into another human being, the impossibility of finding just in  time, the most searched piece of the puzzle that completes the whole picture.
And thanks to the Universe, they were found just in time, at space-time accurate.

Imagine
Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky

Imagine all the people living for today

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people living life in peace

You, you may say
I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people sharing all the world

You, you may say
I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will live as one

I conclude,  understand that both reached, at that point in their lives, perhaps without noticing its all dimention , the understanding of the universe through Unconditional Love.

Some people have told me with an incomprehensible (to me) disqualification, it was all just the product of drug use by John Lennon, or also that disbelieved in his true ideological position, or that Yoko Ono did not love him so much since rebuilt his life with one or more  lovers after his death
True or not, I can not refute or defend that point, I had not shared with them, nor their intimacy, or watched those domestic details, it have access to his private circle, for  judge them better or support this thought (consum of drug by John,or the private life of  Yoko after John) or my thoughts about unconditional love.
Without judging your opinion, I rescue from John Lennon, that he had a life with a sense of transcendence, that his profound change and his awaken the consciousness of peace and love, took shape, blossomed and bore fruit when he met Yoko Ono.

 Oh my love
 (John Lennon)
Oh my love for the first time in my life,
My eyes are wide open,
Oh my lover for the first time in my life,
My eyes can see,

I see the wind,
Oh I see the trees,
Everything is clear in my heart,
I see the clouds,
Oh I see the sky,
Everything is clear in our world,

Oh my love for the first time in my life,
My mind is wide open,
oh my lover for the first time in my life,
My mind can feel,

I feel the sorrow,
Oh I feel dreams,
Everything is clear in my heart,
Everything is clear in our world,
I feel the life,
Oh I feel love.

At that moment his life, as a photography, there happened.
Anything else is impossible to suppose what would have happened after. Death prevented us knowing.
After all, it's just my interpretation, free of all prejudice.
The creative power of unconditional love,is for me, ladys and gentlemen, the meaning of success in the course of existence, everything else is part of the staging.
If you have the grace to find it, please, please, enjoy it and live it intensely: is a unique gift.I assure you, then you will end disquisitions, and hypotheses about “not encountered loves”or other forms of human love, valids, but infertile, credibles, but arid ,negatives loves, that will despoil you instead of contributing to your development as authentic human being, an evolution that will make your creativity and originality  contribute to human consciousness of LIFE AND TRANSCENDENCY.

Love
(John Lennon)
Love is real
real is love,
love is feeling,
feeling love,
love is waiting
to be love.

Love is touch
touch is love,
love is reaching
reaching love,
love is asking
to be love.

Love is asking
to be love,
love is you,
you and me,
love is knowing
we can be.

Love is free,
free is love,
love is living,
living love,
love is needing,
to be love.

With all my respect to you, Sir John Lennon and his love story with Yoko Ono, the time of his life, in wich it brightened and became immortal.

JOHN LENNON
Comprehension of the Universe through Unconditional Love

A BRIEF CHOSEN BIOGRAPHY

Pop star, composer, songwriter, and recording artist, John Winston Lennon was born October 9, 1940, in Liverpool, Merseyside, NW England, UK, during a German air raid in World War II.
When he was four years old, Lennon's parents separated and he ended up living with his Aunt Mimi. John's father was a merchant seaman. He was not present at his son's birth and did not see a lot of his son when he was small.
Lennon's mother, Julia, remarried, but visited John and Mimi regularly. She taught John how to play the banjo and the piano and purchased his first guitar. John was devastated when Julia was fatally struck by a car driven by an off-duty police officer in July 1958. Her death was one of the most traumatic events in his life.
As a child, John was a prankster and he enjoyed getting in trouble. As a boy and young adult, John enjoyed drawing grotesque figures and cripples. John's school master thought that he could go to an art school for college, since he did not get good grades in school, but had artistic talent.
At sixteen, Elvis Presley's explosion onto the rock music scene inspired John to create the skiffle band called the "Quarry Men," named after his school. Lennon met Paul McCartney at a church fete on July 6, 1957. John soon invited Paul to join the group and they eventually formed the most successful songwriting partnership in musical history.
McCartney introduced George Harrison to Lennon the following year and he and art college buddy Stuart Sutcliffe also joined Lennon's band. Always in need of a drummer, the group finally settled on Pete Best in 1960.
The first recording they made was Buddy Holly's That'll be the Day in mid-1958. In fact, it was Holly's group, the Crickets, that inspired the band to change its name. John would later joke that he had a vision when he was 12 years old—a man appeared on a flaming pie and said unto them "from this day on you are Beatles with an 'A.'"
The Beatles were discovered by Brian Epstein in 1961 at the Cavern Club, where they were performing on a regular basis. As their new manager, Epstein secured a record contract with EMI. With a new drummer, Ringo Starr (Richard Starkey), and George Martin as producer, the group released their first single, Love Me Do in October 1962. It peaked on the British charts at number 17.
Lennon wrote the group's follow-up single, Please Please Me, inspired primarily by Roy Orbison but also fed by John's infatuation with the pun in Bing Crosby's famous "Please, lend your little ears to my please." The song topped the charts in Britain. The Beatles went on to become the most popular band in Britain with the release mega-hits likeShe Loves You and I Want To Hold Your Hand.
In 1964, The Beatles became the first band to break out big in the United States, beginning with their appearance on TV's The Ed Sullivan Show on February 9, 1964. Beatlemania launched a "British Invasion"' of rock bands into the U.S., which included The Rolling Stones and The Kinks. After 'Sullivan,' The Beatles returned to Britain to film their first movie, A Hard Day's Night and prepare for their first world tour.
The Beatles followed up with their second movie Help! in 1965. In June, the Queen of England had announced that the Beatles would be awarded the MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire). In August, they performed to 55,600 fans at New York's Shea Stadium, setting a record for largest concert audience. When they returned to England, they recorded the breakthrough album Rubber Soul, which extended beyond love songs and pop formulas.
The magic of Beatlemania had started to lose its appeal by 1966. The group's lives were put in danger when they were accused of snubbing the presidential family in the Philippines. Then, Lennon's remark that "we're more popular than Jesus now" incited denunciations and Beatles record bonfires in the U.S. bible belt. The Beatles gave up touring after an August 29, 1966, concert at San Francisco's Candlestick Park.
After an extended break, the band returned to the studio to expand their experimental with drug-influenced exotic instrumentation/lyrics and tape abstractions. The first sample was the singlePenny Lane/Strawberry Fields Forever, followed up by Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, still considered by many to be the greatest rock album ever.
The Beatles then suffered a huge blow when Epstein died of an accidental overdose of sleeping pills on August 27, 1967. Shaken by Epstein's death, the Beatles retrenched under McCartney's leadership in the fall and filmed Magical Mystery Tour. While the film was panned by critics, the soundtrack album contained Lennon's I Am The Walrus, their most cryptic work yet.
After the Magical Mystery Tour film failed, the Beatles retreated into Transcendental Meditation and the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, which took them to India for two months in early 1968. Their next effort, Apple Corps Ltd. was plagued by mismanagement. In July, the group faced its last hysterical crowds at the premiere of their film Yellow Submarine. In November, their double-album The Beatles (frequently called the White Album) showed their divergent directions.
Lennon had married Cynthia Powell in August 1962 and they had a son together who they called Julian, named after John's mother. Cynthia had to keep a very low profile during Beatlemania. They divorced in 1968 and he re-married Japanese avant-garde artist Yoko Ono, whom he had met at the Indica Gallery in November 1966.

John and Yoko's artist partnership began to cause further tensions within the group.

Together they invented a form of peace protest by staying in bed while being filmed and interviewed.

Then ,the single recorded under the name of The Plastic Ono Band, Give Peace a Chance (1969), became the national anthem for pacifists.

Lennon left The Beatles in September 1969, just after the group completed recording Abbey Road. The news of the breakup was kept secret until McCartney announced his departure in April 1970, a month before the band released Let It Be, recorded just before Abbey Road.

After the Beatles broke up, Lennon released Plastic Ono Band, with a raw, minimalist sound that followed "primal-scream" therapy. In 1971, he followed up with Imagine, the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed of all John Lennon's post-Beatles efforts. The title track was later listed as the third all-time best song by Rolling Stone magazine.
Peace and love, however, was not always on Lennon's agenda. Imaginealso included the track How Do You Sleep?, a nasty response to veiled messages at Lennon in some of McCartney's solo recordings. Later, the former songwriting duo buried the hatchet, but never formally worked together again.
Lennon and Ono moved to the U.S. in September 1971, but were constantly threatened with deportation by the Nixon administration. Lennon was told he was being kicked out of the country because of his 1968 marijuana conviction in Britain.
But Lennon believed the true reason was his activism against the unpopular Vietnam War.  Documents later proved him correct.

Two years after Nixon resigned, Lennon was granted permanent U.S. residency in 1976.
In 1972, Lennon performed at Madison Square Garden to benefit mentally handicapped children and continued to promote peace while battling to stay in the U.S.
That immigration battle took a toll on the Lennon's marriage and in the fall of 1973, they separated. John went to Los Angeles, where he partied and took a mistress, May Pang. He still managed to release hit albums, such as Mind Games, Walls and Bridges and Rock and Roll and collaborate with David Bowie and Elton John.

Mind Games
We're playing those mind games together,
Pushing barriers, planting seeds,
Playing the mind guerilla,
Chanting the Mantra peace on earth,
We all been playing mind games forever,
Some kinda druid dudes lifting the veil.
Doing the mind guerilla,
Some call it the search for the grail,
Love is the answer and you know that for sure,
Love is flower you got to let it, you got to let it grow,
So keep on playing those mind games together,
Faith in the future outta the now,
You just can't beat on those mind guerillas,
Absolute elsewhere in the stones of your mind,
Yeah we're playing those mind games forever,
Projecting our images in space and in time,
Yes is the answer and you know that for sure,
Yes is the surrender you got to let it, you got to let it go,
So keep on playing those mind games together,
Doing the ritual dance inn the sun,
Millions of mind guerrillas,
Putting their soul power to the karmic wheel,
Keep on playing those mind games forever,
Raising the spirit of peace and love, not war,
(I want you to make love, not war, I know you've heard it before)
In the end, Lennon realized he really loved Yoko and he could not live without her.
But before, he dedicate her, "Stand by me" a beautiful song like a plea of love..

They reconciled ...And she gave birth to their only child, Sean, on Lennon's 35th birthday.
John decided to leave the music business to raise his son and become a house husband.

Grow old with me
(John Lennon)
Grow old along with me
The best is yet to be
When our time has come
We will be as one
God bless our love
God bless our love

Grow old along with me
Two branches of one tree
Face the setting sun
When the day is done
God bless our love
God bless our love

Spending our lives together
Man and wife together
World without end
World without end

Grow old along with me
Whatever fate decrees
We will see it through
For our love is true
God bless our love
God bless our love

The song was inspired from two different sources: from a poem penned by Robert Browning, entitled Rabbi Ben Ezra, and a song by Lennon's wife, Yoko Ono, entitled "Let Me Count the Ways" (which in turn had been inspired from a poem by Elizabeth Barrett Browning).
Lennon and Ono had for some time admired the poetry of Robert and Elizabeth Browning, and the two songs were purposely written with the couple in mind.
Ono woke up one morning in the summer of 1980 with the music of "Let Me Count the Ways" in her head and promptly rang Lennon in Bermuda to play it for him. Lennon loved the song and Ono then suggested to him that he should write a Robert Browning piece to accompany it. That afternoon, John was watching TV when a film came on which had the poem "Rabbi Ben Ezra" by Robert Browning in it. Inspired by this turn of events, Lennon wrote "Grow Old With Me" as an answer to Ono's song, and rang her back to play it to her over the phone
In 1980, Lennon returned to the music world with the album Double Fantasy, featuring the hit single (Just Like) Starting Over.

 (Just)Starting over
(John Lennon)
Our life together is so precious together
We have grown, we have grown
Although our love is still special
Let's take a chance and fly away somewhere alone

It's been too long since we took the time
No-one's to blame, I know time flies so quickly
But when I see you darling
It's like we both are falling in love again
It'll be just like starting over, starting over

Everyday we used to make it love
Why can't we be making love nice and easy
It's time to spread our wings and fly
Don't let another day go by my love
It'll be just like starting over, starting over

Why don't we take off alone
Take a trip somewhere far, far away
We'll be together all alone again
Like we used to in the early days
Well, well, well darling

It's been too long since we took the time
No-one's to blame, I know time flies so quickly
But when I see you darling
It's like we both are falling in love again
It'll be just like starting over, starting over

Our life together is so precious together
We have grown, we have grown
Although our love is still special
Let's take a chance and fly away somewhere

Unfortunately, just a few weeks after its release, Lennon was shot by a deranged fan in front of his apartment complex in New York.
Lennon died of the age of 40 at the Roosevelt Hospital on December 8, 1980, after receiving multiple gun shots in the back.

His death affected millions of people, record sales soared, and he continues to be admired by new generations of fans.

Only they(the Lady and Lord) know why they asked me: "You must do a memorial, about love and peace,no more hate, for John, and you must take a photo of yourself at the site where is the cartel" and I did...something: at least I wrote about  great strenght of love..
